The Chic-Chac to host Battle of the Prospectors September 4th & 5th!<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Murdochville, July 23rd, 2021 \u2013<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/span>The Chic-Chac, <\/span>the best off-piste ski resort on the east coast, is a proud partner of the biggest enduro race in Gasp\u00e9sie.<\/span><\/p>\n

September 4-5th, more than hundred participants are expected<\/span><\/b><\/span>
\nProduced by Duane Cabot, motocross guide, and involved in the scene for the past 15 years. Battle of Prospectors<\/span> is a extreme hare scramble located in the old mining town of Murdochville, in the heart of the beautiful Gaspesie region (Qc, Canada). What characterize the event is the amount of hills and the scenery. Downhills, uphills, off camber sections will challenge the most advance rider. It’s a mix of very tight single tracks, atv trails and rock infested hills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Course enduro motocross \u00e0 Murdochville<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The basics;<\/span><\/strong>
\nSaturday<\/strong>: 1st Amateur and 1st Expert Heat\u00a0(to determine starting order of Sunday’s Heat).<\/span>
\nSunday<\/strong>: 2nd heat on different course.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/span>
\nThe Amateur and Expert courses are the same except for a few sections that are for Expert classes only. Sunday’s course is completely different (different mountain) than Saturday’s course. Battle of the Prospectors is considered a Hard Enduro so even the amateur course will be challenging. Keep in mind that there will be a lot of elevation changes (up to 2000m or 6000ft each lap) and this is one of the reason why it will be challenging even for the Expert classes.
