Typical day
The guide-to-client ratio is approximately 1 guide for every 6 clients. Departure takes place at 9:00 am from the rear of the Chic-Chac Headquarters, heading towards Mount Porphyre or Mount York.
Due to the distance to Mount York, participants have lunch served on the mountain in a prospector’s tent. However, it is recommended for those with bigger appetites to bring additional nutritious snacks. For participants on Mount Porphyre, a return for lunch (12:00 to 12:30) is planned at the Headquarters. However, it is optional based on the group’s majority decision, or the lunchbox option is also available.
The skiing day typically ends around 3:30 pm, depending on the weather and season’s daylight. Afterward, guests are expected at the HQ for dinner service, which begins at 6:30-7:00 pm. Dinner includes an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert.
It is recommended to bring a minimum of one liter of water to stay hydrated during the activity.
